The book has family style recipes by season and links the recipes to a Nutri Kids format, scaled to 50 and 100 for school food service use.<\/p>\n

The book introduces recipes in a 6-5-4 methodology. Six foods kids know and love, five flavor profiles, and four seasons.<\/p>\n

A Classroom Cooking Manual<\/a>, 2011, coauthored with Georgeanne Brennan, published by the California Department of Education.  This cooking manual is designed to assist classroom teachers and after school staff in teaching students to cook from scratch by using raw, seasonal produce, in five flavor profiles. It assists them in learning about seasonal foods, nutrition, and the variety of cultures in California since the 1850’s.<\/p>\n
